Patricia Bernice Masten (nee Freeman), 71, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Stein Hospice after a lengthy illness.

She was born December 5, 1945 in Union City, TN and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 59 years.

Patricia graduated from Vermilion High School in 1963 and worked for Lakewood Steel doing inside sales for 15 years. She had also worked as the manager at Toot-N-Scoot Gas Station and the Clark Gas Station in Vermilion for 10 years.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Vermilion and was a life member of AMVETS Post #22. She had also served as the treasurer for Penny Wides Investment Club for 17 years. She enjoyed cats, reading, jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Shauna (Rob) Bott of Huron; sons, David A. (Christy) Masten of Peoria, AZ and Dale (Melissa) Masten of Cincinnati; and her grandchildren: Andrew, Makenzie, Carson, Micaylee, Brady, Cameron, R.J., Gus, Romy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Sawyer Masten in 2013; her parents, McKellar and Ann Brown (nee Puckett) Freeman and her brother, Bob Freeman.

A memorial service will be held, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Grace United Methodist Church, Coen and West Lake Rd., Vermilion, OH 44089. The Pastor Allison LeBrun will officiate.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Grace Untied Methodist Church, Coen and West Lake Rd., Vermilion, OH 44089.
