Bill was a good friend and a classmate (MHS Class of 55). He was the inspiration that led me to attend and graduate from BGSU. I will miss him.

Bill's crusty demeanor disguised his heart of gold. I worked with Bill at the Plain Dealer and enjoyed hearing about his family and his beloved Vermilion and boat. So happy that he enjoyed a long retirement. Our condolences to his family.

Bill helped me install a citizens' band radio when that was all the range. I worked with him at The Plain Dealer for many years on the night shift. He was a good guy. My sympathies to the family.

Prior to becoming a copy editor, Bill was a printer in the Plain Dealer composing room. It was during that time we met and became friends. He exhibited many good traits, but he always called them as he saw them. We stayed in touch in retirement, and I will miss his dry humor.
